Regular screening for Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in Chronic hepatitis patients increases the possibility of detection of HCC at an earlier stage and therefore improve the chances of radical treatment. It is recommended to measure two or more different tumor markers (AFP, DCP/ PIVKA II or AFP L3) along with Ultrasound for the diagnosis of HCC at an early stage.
