PRE-ECLAMPSIA PREDICTION (SFLT-1 : PLGF RATIO), PANEL
sFlt-1/PlGF ratio is intended to be used with clinical judgement and other investigations to diagnose Pre-eclampsia in suspected cases. It may be used for testing pregnant women from 20 weeks gestation up until the time of delivery. Using sFlt-1/PlGF ratio in addition to standard clinical assessment could result in a faster and more accurate diagnosis of Pre-eclampsia, and better risk assessment for adverse outcomes. This assay if negative, helps to alleviate the need for unnecessary hospitalization in suspected Pre-eclampsia patients.
