High specific gravity of urine is associated with dehydration, diarrhea, vomiting, excessive sweating, UTI, renal artery stenosis etc. Low specific gravity of urine is associated with Diabetes insipidus, drinking too much fluids, kidney failure, severe kidney infection etc.
